CASAMIGOS | Graphic Designer

The launch of the Casamigos Mezcal required a bottle as distinctive as the unique, new to market spirit itself.

Our original inspiration was Mexican, hand blown ‘bubble glass’ – this was cost and time prohibitive, but a great jumping off point in our search of the perfect texture. The final glass texture was matched from a vase that had been sitting in the Casamigos office, starting at us the whole time. The rugged textured glass reacts to liquid, touch, dust – you name it, so it’s appearance is always changing, and no two bottles appear exactly alike.

The logo exploration started with (many) hand painted Agave icons and lettering. The final logo uses the original Agave icon with hand lettered type.
